About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Diesel Technician specializing in trucks and trailers to join their team. If you have a passion for diesel engines and a commitment to quality workmanship, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Work independently in the field
- Plan and perform repairs using correct tools and procedures
- Order and return parts for assigned jobs in a timely manner
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance services
- Demonstrate proper use of service information systems
- Ability to diagnose correct parts that is required for repairs
- Utilize power tools – drills, impact wrench, air ratchet, grinders
- Perform relevant administrative duties and ad hoc administration as required
- Traveling to sites will be required
- Ability to perform the following tasks on basic components in work area, including engine, hydraulic, transmission and electrical components
- Completing job cards
Requirements
- Trade Test – Diesel Mechanic (trucks and trailers)
- Valid driver’s license (Code 10 and Code 14 will be advantageous)
- Own vehicle
- Minimum of 3-5 years post trade test experience
- Computer Diagnostic Tool experience
- Experience with Iveco, Powerstar and Foton will be advantageous
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
Qualifications
- Trade Test – Diesel Mechanic (trucks and trailers)

- Own vehicle
- Minimum of 3-5 years post trade test experience
- Computer Diagnostic Tool experience
Salary & Benefits
R 12 000 – R 38 000 Cost to Company, depending on the experience
