About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Manager to join our team in Parow, Cape Town. As a key member of our credit management department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing credit models, leading the design and development of credit automation initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of credit models, scorecards, and analytics tools
Analyse and integrate data to refine credit decisioning systems, ensuring they align with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
Drive automation initiatives to streamline credit evaluation and approval processes.
Make credit recommendations and approve credit applications within authorized mandate levels, ensuring the placement of quality assets.
Implement responsible lending practices to minimize risk and ensure compliance.
Assess and manage credit risk across new and existing client portfolios.
Conduct thorough credit assessments to ensure the acquisition of high-quality assets while mitigating potential risks.
Monitor credit performance and provide insights to adjust risk parameters as necessary.

Requirements

Grade 12
NQF Level 7 or Higher in a Financial or Banking related field essential.
CIMA, Credit management degree or equivalent will be advantageous.
2-5 years’ experience in a credit management environment
Experience in commercial finance.

Qualifications

Completed NQF Level 7 or higher in a financial or banking-related field
