Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team at Isilumko Staffing in Johannesburg. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for fixed asset management, month end reporting, forecasts and budgeting, cash flow preparation and reporting, accounting to trial balance as well as month end reporting. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain fixed asset policy and records, depreciation recognition and accounting entries
Ensure compliance with insurance policies and administer claims and record keeping
Manage and ensure compliance with all expense requisitions and payments
Prepare annual budget and present it to stakeholders
Prepare quarterly forecasts and present them to management
Prepare cash flow and working capital reports
Prepare payroll for approval
Manage intercompany accounts, reporting and intercompany re-billing
Collect on all outstanding debtors and follow up queries
Perform month end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
Implement cost control in line with budget / forecasts
Process daily creditors and data capture
Reconcile monthly creditors and obtain approvals
Prepare accurate bank payments each month
Analyze P & L and provide analytical insight into movements and recommend revenue generation and cost control strategies
Prepare Monthly Reporting
Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance including BBBEE Audits
Record keeping of key documentation and filing
Perform audit reconciliations, files etc. (annually)
Undertake other financial projects and investigations as required
Assist with ad hoc activities i.e. refund verification and cash collection

Requirements

BCom Accounting Degree
SAICA or SAIPA articles
At least 2 years post articles experience

Qualifications

Completed BCom Accounting Degree
