About the Role
Hire Resolve’s Client is currently seeking a dedicated Junior Accountant to join their finance team in Pietermaritzburg. This opportunity is ideal for an entry-level candidate looking to kickstart their career in accounting and gain hands-on experience in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with general accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable
- Help prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with payroll processing
- Support financial audits and assist with the resolution of discrepancies
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities
- Support the team with ad-hoc finance-related tasks as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships are a plus)
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
