About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client, a construction company based in Cape Town, is seeking a knowledgeable Safety Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to upholding a safe work environment for all employees while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Provide training and support to staff on safety practices, emergency preparedness, and proper equipment usage.
Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare detailed reports, and track incident metrics.
Work closely with management to ensure that health and safety protocols are communicated clearly and followed rigorously.
Perform regular inspections of the workplace and equipment to ensure safety compliance.
Maintain incident reports and safety documentation as required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in a safety role within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
