About the Role

Our client in the Telecommunications industry is seeking a skilled Software Tester to join their team. As a key member of the quality assurance process, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the software meets its intended purpose and produces consistent results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify the best ways to evaluate the software and perform various automated and manual tests
  • Extract and document test requirements for user stories and/or Business requirement specs
  • Collaborate with developers and testing team by identifying, logging, prioritizing, and verifying defects in a defect tracking system
  • Communicate findings to other team members so that decisions can be made regarding changes, improvements, and alternatives to try
  • Consolidate reports from software testing team and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Formal qualification in computer science or business information systems
  • Software experience and knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • 2+ years’ experience in MS Office, especially Excel
