About the Role
Hire Resolve, a leading recruitment agency, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our client’s team in Meppel, Netherlands. As a South African Maintenance Technician with experience in electrical and mechanical work, you will service and maintain electrical systems, including cabling, PLC fault finding, electrical motors, and replacing sensors. You will also work on the mechanical side, focusing on conveyor belts, bearings, and motors. Our client offers a highly competitive salary range of R1.1 million to R800,000 per annum, plus shift allowance, and comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure and maintain the installation and machines in good condition
- Carry out inspections, perform preventive maintenance, and are involved in optimizations
- Carry out corrective maintenance and resolve malfunctions on complex machines and installations
- Provide improvement proposals and implement them together with your team
- Experience in PLC fault finding and basic programming
- Experience in industrial automation is an advantage
- Good communication skills
- Ability to quickly switch between different projects and activities
- Independence and stress resistance
Requirements
- Matric or N3 or N4
- Electrician Trade Test Read Seal / Section 13
- South African driver’s license
- Completed 3-year apprenticeship
- Fluent in Afrikaans
- 1.3 years of work experience post-trade test advantageous
- National Diploma or any N1-N6 advantageous
Qualifications

Salary & Benefits
- R42,000 – R54,000 per annum + shift allowance (18.5%), monthly rand conversion (R86,000 – R73,000)
