About the Role
A well-established manufacturing company based in Kempton Park is seeking a detail-oriented Production Administrator to join their team. This role is best suited to someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys repetitive data entry tasks, and is highly proficient in Excel.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture daily production orders and job progress accurately and timeously
- Monitor and update production records on a daily basis
- Create, maintain and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly production reports using Excel
- Assist production and planning teams with data-related queries and administrative support
- Ensure all data captured is consistent with production logs and documentation
- Maintain records and filing systems both digitally and physically
- Identify discrepancies or delays in data and escalate to relevant stakeholders
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) minimum
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data sorting/cleaning)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to work independently and stay focused during repetitive tasks
- Good communication skills and a proactive mindset
- Reliable, organized, and deadline-driven
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in administration, operations, or related field is advantageous
- 2+ years experience in a production/operations administration role within manufacturing or similar industry
