About the Role

Our client, FROGG Recruitment, is seeking a highly experienced Public Relations Specialist to join their team in Randburg. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in public relations within the healthcare medical industry and be strong in PR and communication. This role involves managing the public image of the company brand, developing and executing strategic communication plans, and handling media relations, content creation, event management, crisis communication, and social media engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the public and customers’ image of the company brand
Develop and execute strategic communication plans to enhance the reputation and visibility of the organization
Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets
Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials to secure media coverage
Create compelling content for press releases, articles, speeches, and other communication materials
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms
Plan and coordinate PR events, such as press conferences, product launches, and media briefings
Manage event logistics and ensure successful execution
Monitor public perception and report on the effectiveness of PR strategies
Internal Communications – Support internal communication efforts to keep employees informed and engaged

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public relations role within the medical / healthcare industry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong understanding of media relations and social media platforms

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
