About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AWS Support Consultant to join a 24/7 production data support environment within a financial services context. As an Intermediate AWS Support Consultant, you will provide critical production data support in AWS environments, ensuring the stability and reliability of data platforms running on AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 production data support in AWS environments, including standby/on-call rotation
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline and data availability issues
- Investigate and resolve incidents related to AWS-hosted data platforms
- Ensure data reliability, integrity, and availability in production systems
Requirements
- Experience supporting production systems in AWS
- Hands-on exposure to AWS services such as S3, Redshift (or similar data warehouse technologies), Cloud monitoring and logging tools
- Strong SQL skills for data investigation and ad-hoc queries
- Experience in production support / operational support roles
- Standby / on-call experience is essential
Technical Exposure (Nice to Have)
- Basic Python scripting for support or automation
- Understanding of ETL / data pipelines (supporting rather than building)
- Familiarity with data quality checks and validations
- Exposure to cloud or hybrid data environments (AWS / Azure)
Key Competencies
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working under pressure in production environments
- Good communication skills when dealing with business users
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and operationally focused
- Willingness to participate in 24/7 standby support
