About the Role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our logistics operations in Cape Town. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of financial management, budgeting, and P&L ownership, with a strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skillset. As a seasoned leader, you will be responsible for overseeing all logistic hub operations, identifying operational inefficiencies, and implementing practical solutions to drive efficiency and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Direct & oversee all logistic hub operations ensuring efficient, safe, consistent service delivery
Identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical, scalable solutions
Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders as well as the franchisor, ensuring service excellence and customer satisfaction
Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives
Apply a data-driven approach to forecasting, capacity planning, and customer growth initiatives
Recruit, onboard, lead, and motivate management and operational teams
Foster a high-performance culture with clear accountability, KPI tracking, and continuous development
Own full P&L responsibility for the hub, including budgeting, cash flow management, cost control, and financial reporting

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree – Operations, Business Administration/Management, or a related field
5+ years’ experience in a Senior Operations or General Management role within a large Logistics complex organisation
Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and P&L ownership
Background in Logistics, Operations, or Large-scale Enterprise environments preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and critical-thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs, cross-functional initiatives, and change management efforts
Experience in data modelling and analysis

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree – Operations, Business Administration/Management, or a related field
