About the Role
Our client, a reputable organisation within the services industry, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team in Hatfield, Pretoria. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and proficient in SAGE systems, with experience preparing financials up to Trial Balance and managing full payroll functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, and maintain financial records accurately.
- Produce financial statements up to Trial Balance.
- Compile, analyse, and interpret Management Statements.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies timeously.
- Oversee SAGE Accounting functions and ensure accuracy of financial entries.
- Assist with month-end reporting, financial controls, and related accounting tasks.
- Manage full payroll processing on SAGE Pastel Payroll / SAGE Professional.
- Maintain up-to-date employee payroll records.
- Address and resolve payroll-related queries.
Requirements
- Matric with strong accounting foundations.
- Relevant Accounting qualification.
- Payroll experience using SAGE Pastel Payroll / SAGE Professional.
- Proficient in SAGE Accounting / SAGE One.
- Fully competent in preparing financial statements up to Trial Balance.
- Ability to compile, analyse, and interpret Management Statements.
Qualifications
- Matric with strong accounting foundations.
Salary & Benefits
The salary for this permanent position is market-related. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30.
