About the Role

Fokus Personnel is seeking a Trainee Accountant to join our team in Kimberley, Northern Cape. As a trainee accountant, you will be responsible for assisting a manager in providing accounting, tax, and general advisory services to our clients. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of software, including XERO, Dext, and Hubdoc.

Key Responsibilities

• Process transactions from source documents onto Xero software
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and produce a trial balance
• Prepare and maintain fixed asset registers
• Perform tax and deferred tax computations
• Other ad-hoc accounting related tasks

Requirements

• Enrolled in a BCom degree and/or equivalent accounting degree with the intention of completing SAIPA articles; or
• BCom degree and/or equivalent accounting degree, ready to commence with SAIPA Articles
• Proficient in English and Afrikaans
• Must be situated, or willing to relocate to Kimberley
