About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team in Middelburg, responsible for overseeing all aspects of Human Resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of labour laws and HR functions, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for the full HR function.
- Management of daily HR related queries.
- Payroll administration.
- Recruitment, selection and placement of staff.
- Conducting disciplinary hearings in line with the company’s disciplinary code of conduct.
- Administration and maintenance of HR policies.
- Training and development of staff.
- Performance appraisals & staff evaluations.
Requirements
- Degree in Human Resources.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
- Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures.
- Full understanding of HR functions.
- Good understanding of all the appropriate Acts (LRA, BCEA, OSHA, COID, EEA).
- Computer literate (MS Office).
- Maintain confidentiality, tact, and discretion when handling sensitive data.
- Advanced excel skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Exhibit strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
