Cape Town City Centre: General Manager – 3PL Operations / Logistics

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee 3PL operations and logistics in Cape Town City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of management and operational staff, ensuring efficient service delivery, and driving business growth through data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct & oversee all logistic hub operations ensuring efficient, safe, consistent service delivery
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement practical, scalable solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders as well as the franchisor, ensuring service excellence and customer satisfaction
  • Apply a data-driven approach to forecasting, capacity planning, and customer growth initiatives
  • Recruit, onboard, lead, and motivate management and operational teams
  • Foster a high-performance culture with clear accountability, KPI tracking, and continuous development
  • Own full P&L responsibility for the hub, including budgeting, cash flow management, cost control, and financial reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business Administration/Management, or a related field
  • 5 years experience in a Senior Operations or General Management role within a large logistics complex organisation
  • Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and P&L ownership
  • Background in Logistics, Operations, or Large-scale Enterprise environments preferred

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree – Operations, Business Administration/Management, or a related field
  • 5 years experience in a Senior Operations or General Management role within a large logistics complex organisation
  • Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and P&L ownership
  • Background in Logistics, Operations, or Large-scale Enterprise environments preferred

Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
