About the Role

The University of Fort Hare (UFH) is seeking two Lecturers in Accounting to join their esteemed faculty. As a leading institution in higher education, we offer a dynamic and supportive environment for our academic staff to contribute to learning and research objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • The provision of input into curriculum designs & development, inclusive of implementation
  • Participating in academic department decision making committees
  • Lecturing, teaching & promoting students (both undergraduate & postgraduates) for selected modules in curricula/programs
  • Assisting with/responsible for correct & accurate academic administration student data within the academic scope
  • Collaborating in research initiatives
  • Participating in mentorship programs and furthers own competencies within the academic project
  • Participating in community engagement initiatives in alignment with social responsibility & scholarly engagement goals
  • Publishing research within institutional criteria & requirements
  • Supervising postgraduate research within the academic rank of lecturer (Honours/Masters research)

Requirements

  • A relevant accounting qualification at PGD/ Honours level
  • Registration with a professional accounting body
  • At least 1 year experience in higher education or Qualification/courses in higher education teaching and learning
  • Undergraduate teaching experience in accounting specialization areas which include Taxation, Auditing, Management Accounting, and Financial Management

Qualifications

  • A relevant accounting qualification at PGD/ Honours level

Salary & Benefits
