Steelpoort: Junior Project Planner

About the Role

Steelpoort is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Project Planner to join our team. As a key member of our project management department, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects in a fast-paced mining environment. With a strong understanding of project management principles and experience working in similar industries, we are looking for someone who can bring their expertise and passion for project planning to help drive our success.

Key Responsibilities

• Define project scope and develop detailed, integrated project schedules
• Monitor progress, track variations, trends, and forecast impacts
• Compile planning, progress, and procurement reports for stakeholders
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project planning records and documentation
• Coordinate change control throughout the project lifecycle
• Establish and manage stakeholder communication schedules

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in a related field, preferably Project Management
• Minimum 57 years project planning experience within Mining / SIB project environments
• Strong understanding of project management and project controls
• Proficient in Microsoft Office MS Project and Primavera (P6)
• Proven experience managing schedules, progress tracking, forecasting, and reporting

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in a related field, preferably Project Management
