About the Role
Join our team at Fidelity Services Group as a Junior Fire Fighter in Bloemfontein, where you will play a critical role in responding to and preventing fires, rescues, and emergency humanitarian incidents. As a Junior Fire Fighter, you will work under the guidance and supervision of senior firefighters and officers-in-charge to ensure the safety of our clients and their properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding to fires, rescues, and related emergency and non-emergency humanitarian incidents.
- Operating mobile and fixed breathing apparatus.
- Undertaking fire protection duties in situations that potentially threaten lives or property.
- Participating in training drills, simulation exercises, and physical fitness training as directed.
- Conducting health and safety inspections to ensure a safe environment.
Requirements
- Grade 12 as a minimum school qualification.
- IFSAC Accredited NFPA 1001 Firefighter 2 certification.
- Firefighting training and at least 2 years related experience are essential.
- Valid, unendorsed vehicle driver’s license.
- Advanced driving experience is advantageous.
- Medically and physically fit.
