About the Role
We are seeking a talented and creative Regional Visual Merchandiser to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our visual merchandising team, you will be responsible for delivering the creative vision of the VM Brand Lead across multiple stores in the region. With a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills, you will lead and plan store refurbishments, workshops, and sales initiatives, ensuring that our stores are always ready for consumers, mystery shoppers, and Head Office visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in all national model stores and ensure learnings are shared with teams in your region.
- Lead, plan, and set up regional model stores in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
- Lead, plan, and set up regional workshops.
- Lead, plan, and set up store refurbishments and store openings with the Operations Manager.
- Lead, plan, and support regional sales initiatives.
- Lead, plan, and execute marketing events in stores.
- Support the installation of all window campaigns.
- Manage team schedules and rollout schedules.
- Manage all inventory of VM equipment and store equipment within the region.
- Maintain strong product knowledge.
- Perform seasonal mapping of sales floors to support all VM/merchandise shifts.
- Guide store VMs on all launches, ensuring that windows, mannequins, and walls are dressed according to the VM guide, taking into consideration store size and product sell-throughs.
- Ensure all product or promotional launches happen on time.
Requirements
- 5 years of retail experience as a Visual Merchandiser (VM), with the ability to follow brand guidelines and understand the basics of visual merchandising.
- 3 years managing a regional area as a VM.
- Creative, commercially aware, and confident decision-maker with strong communication skills across all levels.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a broader team.
- Adaptable to change and able to work at pace.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, and acts with integrity.
- Strong organisation and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships easily.
- Passionate about trends in apparel and homeware.
- Proficient in merchandising tools and techniques, including the use of power tools.
- Microsoft Office proficient.
Qualifications
- Matric | Grade 12; relevant tertiary qualifications are advantageous.
