About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Junior Network System Support Administrator to join our team in Midrand. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in network administration and be proficient in Cambium, Mikrotik, and Ubiquiti equipment. Our client requires a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills to provide top-notch technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical systems support to all clients by managing our existing national networks
- Provide technical systems remote support for new highsite/s and end user installations and network infrastructure growth
- Maintain and manage network hardware infrastructure, firmware upgrades, wireless link frequency management
- Manage ticket system and ensure tickets are actioned and closed timeously
- Liaise with upstream providers in event of any network failure or outage
- Ensure clients are always informed as to status of networks
Requirements
- Good knowledge of Cambium, Mikrotik and Ubiquiti equipment
- Basic understanding of BGP, OSPF and network routing
- At least 6 months of experience as an ISP systems administrator
- Ability to work independently and remotely, including standby support over weekends and public holidays (approximately once a month)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), Network Administration, or a related engineering field
