About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team at Staff Solutions. As a temporary full-time contractor for approximately 9 months, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our designated area. With your excellent technical skills and experience, you will play a crucial role in implementing quality systems and processes that meet industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve warranty performance and reduce customer complaints
- Ensure timely submission of 8-Ds to customers
- Participate in internal and customer audits to ensure compliance with quality management system requirements
- Coordinate the preparation and delivery of PPAP packages
- Liaise directly with customers regarding quality concerns, engineering changes, and quality assurance requirements
- Develop, implement, and maintain Control Plans to ensure process control and product quality
- Manage a team of Quality Technicians and Inspectors
Requirements
- Formal Engineering or Technical Qualification (NQF Level 5)
- Quality qualification such as City and Guilds (papers 1&2) would be an advantage
- Approximately 5 years Quality experience including core knowledge and skills
