About the Role
Hospitality and Outdoor Ltd, a renowned iconic luxury resort in the Drakensberg, KZN, is seeking an experienced General Manager to drive revenue and reach new heights. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in senior operations management and be well-versed in hotel operations, sales, marketing, and health and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures the smooth running of the hotel, where all areas of the business are managed and the guest service experience is delivered to the highest levels
- Working proactively with all key stakeholders to maximize guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering a positive and responsive approach to enquiries and problem resolution
- Develops and implements strategies to identify, communicate, and deliver key hotel metrics
- Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation, where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered, and documented for internal and external audit
Requirements
- A business degree, hotel or hospitality management qualification is essential
- Minimum of 10 years hospitality experience, with at least 5 years in a senior operations management role
- Strong financial acumen, able to complete the full daily financial function, including reports, budgets, debtors, creditors, forecasts, etc.
- Strong leadership skills with critical attention to detail in standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R55 000 CTC (very negotiable). Accommodation with company benefits. Starting Date: February/March 2026
