About the Role
A mechanical engineering and manufacturing company specializing in the design and manufacture of mining equipment is seeking a skilled, experienced, and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in mechanical systems, components, and assemblies, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and modify mechanical systems, components, and assemblies for mining equipment and industrial furnaces
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings, layouts, and bills of materials using Autodesk Inventor
- Manage engineering projects from concept, design, and procurement through to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning
- Prepare technical calculations, engineering reports, and design documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 35 years relevant work experience in a mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and mining environment
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Microsoft products (e.g., Word and Excel)
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
