About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team in Pretoria. As a key member of our data strategy, you will be responsible for defining the data requirements and structure for our applications. You will work closely with multiple teams to ensure data alignment with business objectives, provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions. With 10 years of experience in Data Architecture, you are expected to possess advanced proficiency in Data Architecture Principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Model and design application data structure, storage, and integration
- Collaborate and manage the team to perform effectively
- Provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure data alignment with business objectives
- Conduct regular assessments of data architecture to identify areas for improvement
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Data Architecture Principles
- Deep understanding of mining processes, systems and tools
- Experience with Data Lake/Warehouse experience (Data storage and processing)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Ability to balance technical constraints with business priorities
- Leadership mindset with the ability to influence data strategy across the organisation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
