About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scaffolding Fixer to join our team in Nelspruit. As an integral member of our construction and shutdown teams, you will be responsible for erecting, altering, and dismantling scaffolding and temporary works safely and efficiently under the direction of a Scaffold Charge Hand or Scaffold Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scaffolding activities only under supervision and in accordance with approved risk assessments and procedures.
- Erect, alter, and dismantle access scaffolding and temporary works in accordance with approved methods and instructions.
- Correctly handle, inspect, and use scaffolding materials, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain good housekeeping within the work area.
- Stop work immediately and report to the Charge Hand or Supervisor if unsafe conditions are identified.
Requirements
- Valid training and certifications: Working at Heights Scaffold Erector Confined Space Entry Grade 12 (Matric) Valid Medical Fitness Certificate, including Working at Heights
- Minimum 2-3 years’ scaffolding experience Experience in construction, shutdown, or industrial scaffolding environments
Qualifications
- Completed Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid Medical Fitness Certificate, including Working at Heights
- Relevant training and certifications for scaffold erection and confined space entry
