About the Role

A leading player in the heavy engineering and gas sector is seeking a highly skilled Site Supervisor to oversee a critical shutdown project. This is a short-term, high-impact contract role starting immediately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage site operations on-site to ensure the shutdown remains on schedule and within technical specifications.
  • Supervise multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors, ensuring high productivity and quality workmanship.
  • Enforce rigorous health and safety (HSE) standards to maintain a zero-incident environment.
  • Coordinate tools, materials, and equipment to ensure seamless workflow throughout the shutdown period.
  • Provide regular progress updates to project management, identifying and resolving any bottlenecks or technical challenges immediately.

Requirements

  • Red Seal Boilermaker or a Mechanical trade background OR
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Previous experience supervising shutdowns or large-scale industrial maintenance projects is essential within oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Refinery.
  • Strong leadership, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of safety and quality standards in high-pressure environments.

Qualifications

  • Trade Qualification: Red Seal Boilermaker OR
  • Academic Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
