About the Role
The Project Engineer is a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of engineering projects. As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the technical execution of projects, ensuring that scope, schedule, quality, and budget objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain technical integrity, scope definition, and quality standards across design, procurement, and construction
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams, providing technical guidance and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and company standards
- Manage supplier and contractor interfaces and foster long-term service provider relationships
- Monitor progress and proactively address issues to support project delivery
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in project engineering for process plants (studies, basic and detailed engineering)
- 3+ years engineering design experience in process plant construction
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Candidate registration with ECSA
- Membership with SAIMechE (desirable)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (desirable)
- Supervisory or project management experience (2+ years, desirable)
