About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead the culinary vision of a luxury boutique hotel and spa in Ballito. This unique opportunity combines creative freedom with the intimacy of a boutique property, allowing the successful candidate to define and elevate the property’s signature dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver innovative, seasonal menus highlighting local and sustainable produce
- Mentor, inspire, and lead a passionate kitchen team
- Collaborate closely with hotel leadership to create memorable guest experiences
- Uphold the highest standards of food presentation, taste, and consistency
- Manage budgets, food costs, and supplier relationships with precision
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a luxury hotel, fine-dining restaurant, or boutique lodge
- Creative flair with an eye for contemporary culinary trends and wellness-inspired dining
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to elevate the property’s culinary reputation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management
- Relevant certifications or diplomas in food safety, nutrition, or a related field
Salary & Benefits
Salary will be negotiable based on individual experience and qualifications. The package includes contributions to medical aid and provident fund.
