Dundee: Pit Superintendent

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Pit Superintendent to lead our mining operations in Dundee. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily mining activities, implementing safety protocols, and ensuring optimal plant utilization. With 10 years of relevant open-cast experience and 2 years of middle management experience, you will play a key role in driving productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily mining operations for enhanced efficiency and productivity
• Plan, organise, lead and monitor the production process
• Providing leadership and guidance to the mining team to achieve production targets
• Implementing, reinforcing, and ensuring compliance to safety standards and protocols
• Ensure optimal plant utilisation & availability
• Efficient people management harnessing collaboration and teamwork
• Collaborating with various departments to coordinate activities and resolve operational challenges

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Opencast Blasting Certificate
• Competent person
• National Diploma in Mining Engineering (advantageous)
• 10 years relevant open cast experience
• 2 years middle management experience
• Experience in Processing plant and mine planning (will be advantageous)
• Computer literacy in MS Office
