About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Winemaker to join our team in Stellenbosch. As an integral part of our winemaking operations, you will be responsible for preparing and managing wine samples, assisting with wine blending and sensory evaluation, and maintaining accurate records and technical documentation. Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage wine samples for tastings, clients, tenders, and approvals
Assist with wine blending and sensorial evaluation
Set up and facilitate internal and client tastings
Maintain accurate records, specifications, and technical documentation
Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), GMP, and compliance requirements

Requirements

Relevant degree or diploma in Winemaking
Minimum 5 years winemaking experience in a similar environment
Excellent wine tasting and record-keeping skills
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Valid drivers licence

Qualifications

Grade 12
Relevance of qualification will be assessed during the interview process
