About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Manager to join our East London store. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store/Department Manager with daily store operations, supervising staff, and ensuring high standards of customer service. With previous experience in FMCG retail (supervisory experience advantageous) and strong communication skills, we are looking for someone who is willing to learn, show initiative, and take responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Store/Department Manager with daily store operations
Supervise staff and ensure high standards of customer service
Support stock control, ordering, merchandising, and stock rotation
Monitor sales performance and assist in achieving targets
Ensure compliance with company policies, hygiene, and health & safety standards
Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally
Open and close the store when required

Requirements

Previous experience in FMCG retail (supervisory experience advantageous)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Good organisational and problem-solving skills
Basic computer literacy
