About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and astute National Sales Manager Plant and Animal Nutrition to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our sales management team, you will be responsible for managing key accounts, developing strategies to preserve customer relationships, and driving growth in local and international markets. Key Responsibilities
- Manage key accounts for identified customers
- Analyze client-related information and develop strategies to preserve customer relationships
- Set objectives and strategies to ensure key clients are receiving consistent service and attention
- Maintain and ensure continuous growth of local and international markets in agreement with company strategies
- Define and achieve specific sales, market share, and profit margins
- Manage divisional contribution through better cost management and maximization of both volumes and margins
- Develop and implement national marketing strategies
- Implement and control marketing activities and sales strategies
- Conduct competitor analysis and keep abreast of market developments and trends
- Train, coach, and mentor members within the sales and marketing team
- Manage research and development initiatives within the department
- Compile sales budgets and forecasting for the department
- Manage the Agri sales and marketing teams consisting of internal sales, external sales, and agronomists
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in Sales Management and Key Account Management specifically
- Must have a relevant proven track record
- Astute with sound forecasting and budgeting knowledge and experience
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel when required
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, commercial, or Agriculture
