About the Role
A prestigious luxury hotel in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Guest Relations Manager to lead the guest experience function within a fast-paced, high-volume hotel environment. This is a highly visible, operational role requiring strong leadership presence on the floor, hands-on guest engagement, and regular Duty Manager shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the Guest Relations function to ensure exceptional guest experiences
- Actively engage with guests throughout their stay, including VIPs and repeat guests
- Proactively handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery
- Perform regular Duty Manager shifts, overseeing hotel operations when on duty
- Liaise with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and operational teams
- Ensure service delivery aligns with the hotel’s luxury positioning
Requirements
- Proven hotel experience in a 4- or 5-star luxury hotel
- Experience in hotels with 200 rooms or more
- Previous experience in Guest Relations, Front Office Management, or Duty Management
- Opera PMS experience is essential
- Willing and able to work shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
Qualifications
- Relevant Hotel Management / Hospitality qualification
- Matric (Grade 12)
