About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg North. As a key member of our Product team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing test automation solutions that meet our business needs. With 4-6 years of experience in test automation, QA, and management, we are looking for someone who can bring expertise and passion to this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and manage project scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in planning and prioritisation of requirements with key stakeholders.
- Analyse existing processes and data flows, and design improved or new business processes.
- Prepare user stories, functional specifications, and prototype mock-ups for new services and enhancements.
- Identify constraints and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design optimal solutions within agreed parameters.
- Perform feature sign-off on behalf of the Product team following delivery.
- Develop test cases and support testing activities, documenting results and findings.
- Produce clear functional, technical, and user documentation.
- Challenge requirements and specifications constructively to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
- Conduct research into best practices, methodologies, and functional requirements.
- Provide guidance on user experience and usability improvements.
- Ensure all deliverables are completed within agreed timeframes.
Requirements
- ISTQB Certification
- 4-6 years of test automation, QA, and management experience
- Technical Knowledge OOP, Python / C# development, Nodejs, API Testing (restassured/postman/SoapUI), performance testing – Jmeter, GitHub, BDD and TDD, Jira, Confluence
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science Degree
