About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technicians to join our team at PAR EXCELLANCE in Durban. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our food factory by performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and collaborating with our production team to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance/repairs/troubleshooting on equipment and facilities
• Assist with predictive/preventive maintenance activities/scheduled maintenance and equipment inspections
• Collaborate with Production team to minimise downtime and ensure equipment availability
• Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and quality
• Identify/resolve equipment issues, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems

Requirements

• ND Eng (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation) or Trade Tested Millwright/Fitter & Turner/Electrician/ Refrigeration Tech.
• 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in maintenance/repairs/projects in a (frozen) foods/RTE/RTH/party foods production/packing factory
• Experience with PLC/SCADA/other industrial control systems recommended

Qualifications

• Completed degree/diploma/certificate in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation or related field
