About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing a portfolio of assets, ensuring maximum return on investment and optimum operational efficiency. With a strong financial background and excellent analytical abilities, this Asset Manager will be responsible for monitoring asset performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance value.

Key Responsibilities

• Trade booking, confirmation, and settlement
• Ensure that all trades executed are entered completely and accurately into back-office systems
• Liaison with trade counterparties to agree trade details and ensure instructions are matched in the market
• Responsible for the setup and static data maintenance of Bonds and Issuers in relevant systems
• Fail Management and monitoring of alleged trades
• Trade management of all trades
• Escalation of all unsettled and unmatched trades to management daily fail reporting
• Completing transfers in/out
• Reconciliations
• Reconciling daily Cash, Stock position and inter-system breaks and ensuring all breaks are resolved in a timely manner
• Regulatory Reporting
• Quarterly reconciliation
• Monthly and quarterly performance reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a relevant field
• Proven experience in asset management
• Strong financial acumen and proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
• Excellent understanding of the local market conditions and regulatory requirements
• Advanced knowledge of real estate valuation methods, investment analysis, and property management principles
• Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
• Proficient in using industry-specific software and tools, including financial modeling and asset management systems
