About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Person to join our team in Randburg, responsible for driving sales of CTI PLCs, automation modules, I/O cards, racks, power supplies, networking accessories, and related catalogue-listed automation components.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell CTI PLC products, modules, and automation accessories from the company catalogue.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of customers in industries such as manufacturing, mining, utilities, FMCG, packaging, and system integrators.
- Proactively identify new sales leads through cold calling, online research, plant visits, and industry networking.
- Manage incoming enquiries and provide accurate product recommendations from the CTI catalogue.
- Develop a working understanding of CTI PLC architecture, products, and compatibility (including migration solutions).
- Assist clients in selecting the correct PLC modules, I/O types, communication interfaces, and accessories.
- Liaise with internal technical experts to confirm compatibility, specifications, and application requirements.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of PLCs, control systems, instrumentation, or electrical automation (training provided).
- Ability to understand catalogues, spec sheets, and module configuration tables.
- Strong persuasive communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand customer needs and propose appropriate catalogue products.
Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
- 1–3 years sales experience (preferably technical, electrical, or industrial B2B).
Salary & Benefits
R25000 to R35000 plus commission
