Job Purpose:
To manufacture and assemble components, as per drawing or sample
Skills Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric)/N3 or equivalent
Minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience
Qualified Artisan / Trade Test
Knowledge of powerpacks, pumps and cylinders
Fault finding
Fabrication
Able to read Hydraulic schematics
Abel to operate conventional machinery to produce parts at high quality standards.
Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 standards
Be able to use a variety of measuring instruments
Job Description
Assist the Factory and salespersons with assessments for quotation purposes.
Bending of hydraulic tubing
General fitting
Dis-assembly and assembly of pumps requiring adjustment and setting. Including troubleshooting without supervision.
Function.
To strip and repair cylinders
Preparation of parts for spray painting and paint parts
Hand welding by mechanically fed electrodes
Preliminary welding for positioning of jobs prior to welding, riveting or bolting up
Machining of different hydraulic components according to drawing specifications, following the job card as procedure for manufacturing
Assist in the stripping off and assessments of repairs for quotations purposes
Repetition drill sharpening by machine/hand
Drilling of holes
Tapping and re-tapping of holes
Deburring of all manufactured parts
Deburring by hand and/or by grinding and/or portable power tools
Sand blasting
Metal cleaning by degreasing
Operating hand portable and/or pedestal grinding machine where the operator is not
required to grind to marks and/or gauges and/or sizes and/or templates
Rethreading and/or re-tapping and/or reclaiming of nuts and/or bolts
Check, prepare and mark own components
Assembling of jobs as per drawing / circuit diagram
Operate conventional milling machine and Lathe machine
