About the Role
Join Wild Dreams Hospitality as a Trails Guide in our remote Big 5 wilderness area in Limpopo, where you’ll lead immersive nature experiences and deliver engaging guest encounters. As part of our team, you’ll be responsible for conducting guided bush walks, walking safaris, and assisting with game drives, all while ensuring guest safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct guided bush walks and walking safaris in accordance with safety protocols and reserve standards
- Assist with game drives when required
- Deliver informative, engaging, and safety-focused guest experiences
- Interpret wildlife, ecology, and tracking for guests
- Ensure guest safety at all times while on foot
- Assist with reserve management tasks, bush clearing, and field maintenance
- Support lodge operations and guest hosting where needed
Requirements
- FGASA qualification (NQF2 or NQF4)
- Valid Trails Guide qualification with current backup trails (lead trails advantageous)
- Valid PDP and driver’s licence
- Valid First Aid with wilderness component
- Relevant firearm competency and registration
- Experience guiding in a Big 5 environment
- Strong communication skills and professional guest interaction
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a remote bush environment
Qualifications
- Completed FGASA qualification (NQF2 or NQF4)
- Valid Trails Guide qualification with current backup trails
- Valid PDP and driver’s licence
- Valid First Aid with wilderness component
