SENIOR INBOUND TOUR CONSULTANT Cape Town | Luxury Inbound Travel A distinguished inbound luxury Destination Management Company (DMC) is seeking an experienced Senior Inbound Tour Consultant to join their dynamic team. Specialising in bespoke, high-end journeys across Southern and East Africa , this DMC crafts exceptional travel experiences for discerning international travellers , with a strong focus on the North American market . The team prides itself on attention to detail, seamless execution, and creating journeys that leave lasting impressions. Role Overview This is a full-time position for a seasoned luxury inbound consultant who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of luxury tours — from itinerary design and quoting through to travel documentation and post-tour file closure — ensuring a flawless guest experience throughout. Key Responsibilities • Designing, planning, and quoting luxury itineraries across Southern & East Africa • Managing tours from initial quotation to post-travel file closure • Booking and reconfirming all services accurately and timeously • Ensuring in-country guest experiences run smoothly and without error • Being on call for guests after hours while travelling • Preparing accurate travel documentation and client information • Coordinating invoicing and payments with the accounts team • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and partners • Handling issues and resolving challenges swiftly and professionally Requirements & Skills • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a luxury inbound travel consultant • Proven experience in Southern and/or East African destinations • Strong knowledge of luxury accommodations and experiences • Tourplan proficiency is essential • Excellent written and spoken English • Exceptional client service and communication skills • Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail • Ability to manage high volumes of work with accuracy • Confident problem-solver with crisis management skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team ✨ This is an exciting opportunity to work with a respected luxury DMC, curating unforgettable journeys for international travellers while being part of a passionate and professional team.
