About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and energetic Assistant Food & Beverage Manager for a prestigious luxury private island in the Caribbean. This hands-on role is perfect for a hospitality professional passionate about guest experience, team development, and delivering exceptional service in a unique resort environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in leading and managing the department
- Train, mentor, and develop the Food & Beverage team
- Drive guest interaction and build strong guest relationships
- Deliver personalised and memorable guest experiences
- Stay current with industry trends to enhance service and offerings
- Implement and maintain effective stock, inventory, and cost controls
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with other departments
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in a high-end resort environment in a supervisory or management role
- At least 1 year of proven people management or leadership experience
- Previous experience in a quality 5-star resort or luxury property
- Strong knowledge of beverage services, including wines, cocktails, and mocktails
- WSET Level 2 or equivalent qualification
- High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience in inventory control and stock management
- Training or staff development experience (advantageous)
- Valid driving licence required

Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary: USD 3,640 per month
- Performance-based bonus of up to 10% of annual salary
- 22 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays (5.5-day work week)

- Initial flights from country of residence and return flight at end of contract
