About the Role

HotelJobs is seeking a highly skilled and creative Namibian Head Chef to join their team at the launch of a new 5* luxury lodge in the eastern Zambezi region of Namibia. As a key member of the culinary team, you will be responsible for creating exquisite fine cuisine that showcases your creativity and innovation while maintaining precision and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

Manage kitchen operations during peak periods
Prepare and serve high-quality meals to guests
Lead and motivate a team of cooks and support staff
Develop and implement menus that meet the lodge’s business objectives and cost control standards
Maintain impeccable presentation and presentation standards
Collaborate with the hotel management team to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements

Minimum of 5 – 8 years experience working within 5 star lodges / top awarded establishments
Proven culinary creativity and innovation with excitement for fine cuisine
Strong decision making, organisation & leadership skills
Proven background in staff management and ability to recruit, train and motivate staff to ensure a satisfactory experience for all guests
