About the Role
We are seeking a confident and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead the front of house at one of Franschhoek’s standout destination restaurants. This role is about setting the tone on the floor, inspiring your team, and delivering a seamless, memorable guest experience every single service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead; motivate, and develop a high-performing front-of-house team
- Create a polished, welcoming atmosphere that reflects the restaurant’s identity
- Manage reservations and flow to maximise both guest experience and table turnover
- Work closely with the kitchen to ensure timing, accuracy, and consistency
- Handle guest feedback with confidence, warmth, and professionalism
- Oversee stock, supplies, and readiness for service
- Uphold exceptional standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation
Requirements
- Proven experience managing a high-quality restaurant
- A natural leader who leads from the floor, not the office
- Strong communication skills and calm decision-making under pressure
- A sharp eye for detail, flow, and guest comfort
- Passion for hospitality, food, wine, and service excellence
Qualifications
- Hospitality qualification is an advantage, but real-world experience matters most
