Employer Description Safari Lodge in Hoedspruit Job Description Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced F&B Assistant Manager to join its team. This role offers the chance to work in a unique environment where hospitality meets conservation, ensuring guests enjoy exceptional dining experiences in the heart of nature. Key Responsibilities: Assist in overseeing daily food & beverage operations across restaurant, bar and event services. Support the Management Couple in supervising staff, scheduling shifts and maintaining service standards. When the Management Couple is off duty, assume their responsibilities to ensure seamless lodge operations. Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations. Monitor stock levels, place orders and manage supplier relationships. Contribute to menu planning, special events and guest dining experiences. Handle guest feedback with professionalism, ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Assist with training, mentoring, and motivating the F&B team. Maintain cost control and assist with budgeting and reporting. Qualifications Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage or related field (preferred). Minimum 35 years of experience in food & beverage management or supervisory roles within hospitality. Previous lodge, resort, or luxury hospitality experience will be advantageous. Computer literacy (MS Office, POS systems). Valid drivers license (preferred). Skills Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Solid understanding of food & beverage operations, including bar and restaurant service. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
