Job Description
Volunteer Afrika SA is seeking to appoint a motivated individual, to join our lodge and conservation operations team. This role offers hands-on exposure to guest experience, lodge management, and wildlife conservation in a unique bush environment.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Hospitality

Guest management and hosting

Ensuring a high standard of guest experience across all touchpoints

Assisting with daily lodge operations related to guests
Lodge Management Support

Supporting selected lodge management and operational duties

Assisting with infrastructure oversight and upkeep

General operational support as required
Conservation & Reserve Operations

Assisting with animal management activities
-
Supporting game capture operations (where appropriate)

Involvement in veld management and conservation-related tasks
Requirements

Valid PRDP (Professional Driving Permit)
-
Valid ARH (Advanced Rifle Handling)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-
Willingness to work in a remote bush environment

Interest in hospitality, conservation, and lodge operations
-
Must be highly driven, responsible, and have sober habits

Starting salary: R8,500 per month for the first year

Work Schedule & Time Off

From May to September, the camp is very busy with volunteers coming through back-to-back, and time off during this period can be difficult

During the rest of the year, the candidate will be able to take one week off per month

Time off arrangements can be discussed during interview

A phone will be provided, or alternatively a phone contract allowance can be arranged

Meals are included when clients are in camp

When there are no clients in camp, the candidate will need to arrange their own meals

All facilities and equipment for food preparation will be available
