Job Description
A well-established landmark restaurant seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Front of House Manager to lead operations at a high-volume, service-driven venue.
This is a senior leadership role suited to a hospitality professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, leads from the front, can manage staff and is passionate about exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all front-of-house operations, including opening and closing procedures, service standards, and cash-ups
- Lead, mentor, and manage a management team and a staff complement of approximately 60 employees.
- Ensure consistently high levels of guest satisfaction and service delivery
- Manage staffing, shift planning, and labour efficiency
- Handle guest feedback, queries, and complaints professionally and effectively and through social media platforms
- Drive productivity, sales performance, and operational excellence
- Monitor costs, minimise wastage, and ensure stock and inventory controls
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and hospitality best practices
- Work closely with senior leadership to implement operational and service strategies

Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 8 years proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management (senior level essential)
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple managers and large teams
- Strong operational, people-management, and leadership skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
- High level of computer literacy and familiarity with restaurant management systems
- Ability to work hospitality hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Ability to commute reliably to the Southern Suburbs
- Must have the legal right to work in South Africa
