Senior BMS Engineer Cape Town
Our client is looking for a BMS Engineer in Cape Town area You need technical, mechanical, electrical experience, a tertiary qualification and 4 years plus BMS engineer experience. You will oversee a team of technicians. You also need solid Niagara framework experience to do BMS solutions. A Building Management System (BMS) Engineer in South Africa is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of building management systems that control and monitor a building’s mechanical and electrical equipment, such as ventilation, lighting, power systems, fire systems, and security systems

Min Requirements and Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering
- 5+ years Building management solutions / BMS experience
- Proven experience in BMS design, installation, and maintenance
- Solid Niagara Framework experience
- Experience building BMS graphics
- Solid HVAC and controls knowledge
- Exposure to API and MQTT integrations (beneficial)
- Niagara Certification preferred
- Valid SA drivers licence
Responsibilities
- Plan, lead and manage BMS design, programming, and commissioning
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of BMS projects.
- Prepare project documentation, including specifications, reports, and user manuals.
- Oversee the installation of BMS hardware and software.
- Conduct system testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the installation phase.
- Plan, lead and manage BMS design, programming, and commissioning
- Develop and integrate Niagara-based systems
- Build professional BMS graphics / UI
- Advanced fault-finding and system optimisation
