Job Description

This role involves actively searching for new business opportunities and managing a healthy sales pipeline to ensure continuous revenue generation and member growth. MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION BUSINESS OPERATIONS Prospecting: Identify and engage potential clients through various methods including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking. Client demonstrations: Conduct effective presentations of the companys products or services to prospective clients. Sales negotiations: Employ strong negotiation tactics to close deals and achieve favourable terms. Pipeline and database management: Maintain a dynamic list of prospects and manage the sales pipeline effectively to ensure consistent sales opportunities. Developing and maintaining a credible, high-quality list of potential clients/leads. Market analysis: Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to identify potential new markets and opportunities. Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on sales activities, performance, and strategies for continuous improvement. STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT External Develop a Stakeholder engagement plan for the Institute in collaboration with TS department Manage relationships with department external service providers and ensuring stakeholders derive value from association and engagements with THE COMPANY Manage contracts in conjunction with the Legal department of all external services providers Ensure compliance of Service Level Agreement by the service provider Manage relationship with the Institutes external service providers Internal Maintain relations with all members of the management team and staff Maintain relations with other departments within the organization RISK MANAGEMENT Adhere to the Institutes legal and ethical requirements, policies, processes and procedures Support departmental audits Manage the risks associated with the services rendered by external providers Educational Requirements: Sales or Business qualification from credible institution Bachelors degree in marketing, business administration, or related field preferred. Experience Required Proven track record in a sales role, with a strong preference for experience in direct or B2B sales environments. Skills of achieving targets and generating new leads. Essential Skills Negotiation and selling skills: Strong ability to persuade and close deals. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction and relationship building. Presentation skills: Proficient in delivering professional and compelling presentations. Technology proficiency: Comfortable using software like Microsoft Office and CRM systems to manage relationships and track sales progress. Resilience: Ability to remain calm under pressure, handle objections, and maintain professionalism during customer interactions. Proficiency in South African official languages Personal Attributes Well-groomed and presentable: Reflects the THE COMPANY brand positively. People skills: Intuitive understanding of client needs and ability to build rapport quickly. Independence: Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
