Job Description

Job Title: Controller – Vehicle Stock Location: Kempton Park Company: Motus Ford Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as a Controller for Vehicle Stock. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company’s vehicle stock, including inventory control, purchasing, sales, and logistics. The Controller will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate and up-to-date stock records, as well as develop strategies for optimizing inventory turnover and profitability. Key Responsibilities: – Maintain accurate records of all vehicles in stock, including VIN numbers, make and model, pricing, and availability. – Monitor inventory levels and stock turnover rates to prevent overstocking or stockouts. – Conduct regular audits and spot checks to ensure inventory accuracy. – Work closely with the sales team to forecast demand and coordinate stock replenishment. – Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable pricing and terms for vehicle purchases. – Coordinate logistics and transportation for vehicle deliveries and transfers between locations. – Implement and maintain inventory management systems and procedures to streamline stock control processes. – Prepare regular reports and analysis on stock levels, sales performance, and inventory turnover. – Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies within the stock management function. Qualifications: – Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field. – Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in the automotive industry. – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. – Excellent communication and negotiation skills. – Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel. – Ability to work independently and as part of a team. – Detail-oriented and organized.
