Job Description

A reputable Dental practice in Montana, Pretoria, is looking for a motivated and versatile HPCSA Registered Oral Hygienist to join their team in January 2026. This role offers a unique mix of clinical, administrative, and marketing responsibilities, allowing the successful candidate to grow beyond the typical oral hygiene duties.

The Oral Hygienist will be responsible for overseeing the management of the practice’s mobile clinic.

Responsibilities include:

  • General management of the mobile clinic: appointments, marketing, treatments in the mobile clinic, and administration.
  • General oral hygiene and teeth whitening in the practice.
  • Ortho scans and administration.
  • Willingness to assist with reception or assisting duties as needed.
  • Managing patient recalls.

Flexibility is a key aspect of this role. While the primary focus is on oral hygiene, the Oral Hygienist will occasionally be required to assist with reception duties or act as a dental assistant when needed. Another important responsibility will be managing patient recall processes, ensuring that follow-up appointments are efficiently scheduled and handled.

The role offers variety, with specific tasks spread throughout the week. For example, school visits are scheduled on Tuesdays,Thursdays & Fridays, while orthodontic work typically occurs on Wednesdays.

The ideal candidate will have strong multitasking skills and previous experience in orthodontics. They should be confident presenting talks at schools and retirement homes and be comfortable engaging with a variety of audiences. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling challenges outside the usual scope of scale and polish duties.

Remuneration will be discussed during the interview.
Flexible hours – 180 hours per month
Own Transport is needed
